Pathogen and the Highly Sensitives

It slept and it crept, now it is all we can hear.

I wake now with doubt, an unknown fear.

The world is uneasy, panicked and scared.

Of an enemy born in Mother Nature’s lair.

I feel it all and take it on board.

It began its course a world away

But it gained its strength more each day.

At a place afar- way over ‘there’

Humanity’s test to see if it cares.

I feel it all and take it on board.

It creeps and it kills, silent and strong.

Fatalities rise until before long

The world starts to listen and act

Against the enemy freshly hatched.

I feel it all and take it on board.

And humanity changed as the waves surged on

And it forgot for a moment where it belonged.

People got rude and rough and callous

Through fear of the enemy in all its malice.

I feel it all and take it on board.

Supplies are now so hard to find

And in the process we forget to be kind.

We hoard and we push and we yell at each other

Instead of helping and supporting another.

I feel it all and take it on board.

I see in the shops the plight of the elderly

And wish those around them moved gently gently.

I see the anger and the low morale

If there’s a time to shine is it not now?

I feel it all and take it on board.

Emotions run hot and heavy and deep

Processing deeply they’re all mine to keep.

High sensitivity is my birth rite trait

And I know there are some out there who relate.

I feel it all and take it on board.

The noise, the sadness, the blame, the misgiving

All soaks in to me and with it I’m living.

I toss and I turn and my soul is bereaved

After all the stillness I thought I’d achieved.

I feel it all and take it on board.

The enemy is swift and becoming robust.

Compassion should be our everyday must.

We need each other and we need to love.

We need to be kind when push comes to shove.

I feel it all and take it on board.

To get through this all we must rile up our best

And all the while Mother Nature will rest.

Already the birds are singing their song

And the air will clear before too long.

I feel it all and take it on board.

Before more waves hit our island nation

I’m taking the time for regeneration.

I’m taking the time to take a step back

And get my mind and mojo on track.

I feel it all and take it on board.

And when I’m rested and my mind more free

I’ll be full of love and empathy.

It’s who I am and it’s what I do

I’ll be here to feel and to listen to you.

I’ll feel it all and I’ll take it on board.

The air will clear and the birds will sing

And the trees will breathe with new beginning.

Mother Nature sent Her worst so She takes a breath.

While we relearn to love and to regroup our strength.

I feel it all and take it on board.

I beg you to join me in the basics again.

Resting, reading, a chat with a friend.

Cooking, playing and finding the sun.

Being present for your most cherished loved ones.

Let’s feel it all and take it on board.

And for all those HSPs like me,

Let’s accept it’s ok for now to just ‘be’.

To be here in the moment- however you are.

Spreading your sensitivity wide and far.

Together we feel it and we take it on board.

‘Sensing’- our power, our pride and possession.

The world will need us in forthcoming progression

After this enemy passes and Nature’s had Her rest

We WILL hold the world up at our empathic best.

Together we feel it, together assured.
